Authentic Italian pizzeria in the heart of Malá Strana – crispy pizza baked over oak wood in a traditional brick oven, honest Italian cooking from fresh ingredients, Italian wines, a shelf of grappa and proper barista coffee. Upstairs opens onto Lesser Town street life; downstairs is a vaulted trattoria with a big aquarium. One of the last places in Malá Strana that still tastes like Italy. 🍕

Typical Czech dishes
Menus are long and the Czech is unpronounceable. Point at any of these and you will not go wrong.

Transport, taxis, money
Prague is cheap and easy to move around – as long as nobody sells you a “special rate”.
One ticket covers tram, metro and bus, with unlimited transfers until it expires. Buy at stops or in tobacco shops – or a few crowns cheaper in the PID Lítačka app (App Store ↗ · Google Play ↗). Riding without a ticket costs 800 CZK.
The same ticket works on the river ferries and the ZOO chairlift; the Petřín funicular is 60 Kč on its own. One of the best networks in the world – use it.

Koruna comes in 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 Kč notes. Anything handed to you in euros, zloty or forint is a scam.
The blue-and-yellow ATMs on every corner charge terrible rates and fat commissions. Use a bank ATM instead.
If a terminal offers to charge your card in your own currency, decline – the conversion is never in your favour.
